Prof dr Jan Bouckaert

Jan Bouckaert is a special consultant to Lexonomics. He is also a professor of economics at the University of Antwerp where he teaches industrial organisation. Prior to this, he worked as a strategy manager on access pricing issues in the telecommunications sector. Jan earned his PhD in Economics from Tilburg University and has published several articles on industrial organization and strategic price setting behaviour in journals including the International Journal of Industrial Organization, the Journal of Industrial Economics, the European Economic Review, Economic Journal and the Journal of Regulatory Economics. Jan specialises in utility regulation, and has advised utility companies on a range of regulatory and competition policy issues including price squeezes.
